Magnet Programs
Cambridge Magnet Program
The Cambridge Magnet Programme provides students with a rigorous college-level education that prepares them for success in college and beyond. Students who complete the program earn the internationally recognized AICE diploma, gain access to over thirty college-level courses, and may earn up to two years of college credit while qualifying for the highest level of Florida’s Bright Futures Scholarship. The program has helped many students attend top Ivy League, public, and private universities across the country. In 2019, our school earned the National Merit Award of “Excellence” from Magnet Schools of America, the organization’s highest distinction recognizing outstanding achievement among magnet schools.
Pre-Law & Public Affairs Program
The Pre-Law and Public Affairs Magnet Program at Fort Lauderdale High School offers a strong college-preparatory curriculum for students interested in careers in legal studies, criminal justice, and public service. The program provides students with real-world experience, valuable career insight, and opportunities to build meaningful connections with professionals in law, government, and public service while developing the skills and foundation needed to pursue their future goals.
